Whether your wish is for a relaxed and tranquil break or one exploring the many fabulous activities on offer throughout this beautiful part of County Down, we can offer you the perfect pitch for your touring caravan, motorhome or campervan.

Situated on the sea front, our 33 fully serviced hard standing sites offer everything you need to make your stay with us a pleasant one. All sites are equipped with multi-tower units providing 16amp electricity, fresh water, waste water point and Digital TV hook-up.

Our well maintained modern toilet and shower block has an excellent suite with disabled access and can also double as a family room. Dish washing sinks and laundry facilities complete this modern set up and there is a shop and restaurant nearby.

The park is open from 28th March to 29th September 2024.

Cranfield Caravan Park – Terms & Conditions for Touring Caravans, Motor homes & Camper vans

Here at Cranfield Caravan Park our guests’ enjoyment and safety is paramount and therefore we would ask you to read the following terms and conditions before making your booking.  We reserve the right to ask guests whom contravene these terms and conditions or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the park immediately.  In these circumstances, the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

Bookings

Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially for July and August, weekends and bank holidays.
For the 2024 season we are open for overnight stays for Touring Caravans, Motor homes and Camper vans from

28th March – 29th September

Current nightly rates are available on our web site. For longer stays, please contact us by telephone.
Bookings can be made via our online booking system at any time. At time of booking full contact details are required and payment must be received in full by credit/debit card. By booking you give permission for your contact details to be retained on our computer and we may use these to inform you of any offers or events relating to the Park. Under no circumstances will this information be given to a third party. If you require assistance when booking or prefer to book over the phone, please call us during office hours.

We also offer the option to keep your van on a pitch while not occupied midweek for a reduced rate during off peak times. This is £15 per night. However, it is full price at peak times – including weekends, July/August, Easter and Bank holidays.   

Minimum Nights

The following minimum stays apply as follows:

Easter (29th March – 2nd April) – 4 nights.

UK May Bank Holiday (3rd – 6th May) – 3 nights.             

UK Spring Bank Holiday (24th – 27th May) – 3 nights.                                        

ROI Bank Holiday (31st May – 3rd June) – 3 nights.

UK Summer Bank Holiday (23rd -26th August)– 3 nights.

July and August Weekends– 2 nights.

Cancellations / Amendments

A minimum of 14 days notice in advance of arrival date is required from anyone wishing to cancel their booking. Please note that it must be written notice, an email is sufficient.  If more than 14 days notice is given, the booking may be re-arranged to another available date within the season or alternatively a refund can be given minus £15 administration charge.  Cancellations within 14 days of customer’s arrival date are not transferable or refunded unless in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or family bereavement.  (Appropriate documentation e.g. a medical note must be forwarded in order to process the refund, minus £15 administration charge.)  Customers are advised to have insurance cover in the event of cancellation.  Refunds cannot be made for any amendments made to the booking on arrival or during stay.

Party Size / Age Restrictions

A maximum block booking of 3 pitches is permitted (excluding Caravan & Camping Clubs).  We cannot guarantee that caravans booked in together will be beside each other on the Park.  Persons under 18 years of age are not accepted unless with family members who will be responsible for their conduct.  We reserve the right to refuse bookings with an objective justification and if bookings are made and are not representative of those booking in we may refuse the booking and in such case monies are non-refundable.

No Shows

Failure to arrive without satisfactory explanation or written cancellation being received will receive no transfer or refund.  If no notification is given and the pitch is not occupied by 1.00pm on the day following the day of expected arrival, we reserve the right to re-let the pitch with payment forfeited.

Arrival / Departure

Your arrival is welcome from 2.00pm onwards.  On arrival please check in at reception where you will be given your access fob.  Access to your pitch will only be permitted when payment is received in full.  There is no deposit required for access fob to toilet / shower block facilities. However, if it is lost or damaged, you will be liable to pay for a replacement.  Shower tokens cost £1 and are available to purchase in reception during office hours.  

Departure is strictly 12 noon. During low season (March-June and September) and not peak dates, a later check out time may be available depending on availability and at a cost of £15.

Please inform office staff of late arrival so that arrangements can be made with the person on night duty. Early departure is not a problem as fobs can be returned through the post box but please do inform us the day before if you are planning on leaving early.

Easter/July/August 9am – 8pm weekdays / Friday and Saturday 9pm
Sundays 10am – 4pm

Pitch Allocation / Services

Pitch Allocation / On arrival you will be informed of your pitch number which you have booked. Whilst every effort is made to meet requests no guarantee can be given.  You must set up on pitch given so please check to avoid being asked to move.  All pitches are hard stand with multi service towers providing 16 amp electricity, water and grey waste facility.  You must set up on the concrete of your pitch –  no touring vans/ motor homes permitted on the grass. All rubbish must be removed from pitch on departure and we ask that you please recycle, using the appropriate bins. 

Awnings / Tents / Gazebos

Awnings, Tents & Gazebos ARE STRICTLY NOT PERMITTED.

Vehicles

Only one car is permitted per pitch.  Extra vehicles or visitors cars can park in the car park at Reception.  No commercial vehicles are permitted at the site and must be parked in the car park. 

Dogs

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead at all times.  Dog owners must not leave their dog unattended and fouling of ground is strictly prohibited.

Fires

Open camp fires are not permitted on the Park.  Free standing BBQ’s are allowed, but must be extinguished by 10:30pm

Children

Children at all times must be properly supervised, so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others.

Noise

Quiet hours are from 11 pm – 7 am, please respect fellow guests and keep noise to an absolute minimum.

Liability

Anyone found defacing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property of the Park faces immediate eviction and/or prosecution.  The pitch hirer is responsible for and charged for any damage/breakages/loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the pitch or to any Park facilities or to other customers’ property.  Your vehicles and their contents and accessories are left at your own risk.  Customers should ensure that their property is secure and fully insured against all eventualities.
